Founded in 2023, Trio Venere brings together Daniel Borovitzky, Gaia Trionfera, and Nigel Thean. Bound by a natural musical chemistry and a shared passion for the piano trio repertoire, the ensemble has been praised for its distinctive colour palette and acute musical intuition.
The trio was invited to IMS Prussia Cove to work with Kirill Gerstein and David Waterman, which led to a follow-up invitation to feature in Wigmore Hall. In 2024, they were selected for the Yellow Barn Music Festival, where they shared the stage with artists including Anthony Marwood, Alasdair Beatson, Krzysztof Chorzelski.
Fiinalists in the Royal Over-Seas League competition, Trio Venere also performed at the Mizmorim Festival last season. They currently pursue a Master?s in Chamber Music at Musik-Akademie Basel under Claudio Martínez Mehner, Rainer Schmidt, Anton Kernjak, and Anna Gebert, and have worked with artists including Patricia Kopatchinskaja, Robert Levin, Alina Ibragimova, and Steven Isserlis.
