The Trio E.T.A., founded in 2019, pays homage in its name to the universal artist E.T.A. Hoffmann. Alongside the masterpieces of the repertoire, the ensemble is equally interested in rediscoveries and new music.
In May 2026, the trio won First Prize at the International Chamber Music Competition in Osaka (Japan) and will return there in 2027 for a Grand Prix tour. Trio E.T.A. is also a winner of the German Music Competition. In summer 2026, its second album was released on SWR Music.
The trio has performed at venues including Suntory Hall Tokyo, the Musikverein Vienna, the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and Wigmore Hall London. The ensemble is a Britten Pears Young Artist 26/27 and has been part of the SWR2 young talent programme since 2023.
The three musicians are also prizewinners of renowned competitions as soloists and have performed with orchestras such as the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen. The trio receives artistic impulses from, among others, Dirk Mommertz and Lukas Hagen. It is a member of ECMA and NSKA. Nadja Reich plays a 1745 Paolo Testore cello from the Hoenes Foundation.
